Alert Messages

This section contains descriptions of the various alert messages, which might appear while using CTCBridge. You might encounter other Java-related error messages, which are unique to your particular Web browser application. You should contact the manufacturer of your Web browser for more information.

"No language file."

CTCBridge cannot find a necessary language file.

CTCBridge cannot find or cannot use an audio file on your computer. Make sure your computer contains a properly configured sound card if you wish to hear any sound.

"Error opening input stream"

CTCBridge is not properly receiving information from either your MultiBridge server or your host computer.

"Close connection problem"

CTCBridge is not able to properly break off communications with your MultiBridge server.

"No default signon, contact Server administrator"

You are not able to connect using the configuration file you have requested.

"No response from Server"

The CTCBridge applet is not receiving communications your host computer.

"Cannot connect to SIM at Server, click 'Exit'"

CTCBridge is not able to connect to your MultiBridge Station Interface Module (SIM).

"Invalid User ID"

You have requested a configuration file or User ID, that does not match that of an existing configuration or User ID on your MultiBridge server.

"Invalid User ID / Password"

You have either entered an incorrect password or an incorrect User ID.

"Click 'OK' to terminate all currently open environments and open a new default configuration file"

This message appears when you select New Configuration from the File menu. After you click the [OK] button, CTCBridge will appear to restart with a new configuration.

"Too many attempts to enter old password -- change not allowed"

This message appears if you have repeatedly tried to incorrectly change a password through the General Setup window of the Configure menu.

"Update modified configuration file on server?"

This screen appears to ask if you would like to save the changes you have made to your present configuration before loading a new or different configuration file or exiting CTCBridge. You will be able to save any changes for future use.

"Host is not responding to station open request."

This message appears to inform you that your MultiBridge Communication Server cannot connect to your host.

1007

No response from server.

Host or SIM is not responding. Host may be down, or MultiBridge may be down.

1028

“Error opening socket. Cannot connect to MultiBridge Server. Please contact your administrator.

There is some problem connecting to the MultiBridge Station Interface Module (SIM). This window gives you the option of trying again, exiting, or accessing help documentation.

1040

Unable to open station on host.

Possible misconfiguration. Web address may be invalid, or the URL goes to a web site that does not exist.

1048

Unable to open station on host. MB may be down.

  1. MultiBridge may be down.

  2. All the configured stations may be in use.

  3. User could be trying to access something that they do not have rights to.
