With administrator permission, change what happens when you click a button from the CTCBridge button bar. The button bar might be to the side, the top, or the bottom of your terminal emulation screen, depending on where your administrator placed it.
Follow the steps below to change the way your buttons work:
From the Configure menu, select Assign Button. The Assign Button wizard will walk you through the reassignment of a button.
Select the button you want to reassign from the scrolling list.
Click [Next >>]
Choose the type of function you want to assign to the button and then click [Next >>]:
Normal Action: any action from a CTCBridge menu
Macro: a user defined set of actions or keystrokes. See Automate Tasks with Macros and Scripts for more information about macros.
Script: actions and responses from the host.
URL: a location on the World Wide Web
Key: a keystroke
Empty Button: no action
Already is default (dimmed): when you are changing a button from its default setting
Restore the button to its default function: Function: when a button has been changed and you want to change it back to its original task

You can return to any previous window in the wizard by clicking [<<Back] at any time before you click [Finish]. Click [Cancel] at any time to cancel the changes and close the wizard. |
The next window will differ based on the type of function you chose above. Follow the instructions on the window. Click [Next>>].
Type a label for the button. If you want no label on a blank button, leave the field blank.
Click [Finish]. The button will appear with its new label. Click it to test the new function.
Save the configuration.
